Caves and Springs of Mladezhka River Eco-trail
"Caves and Springs" Eco-Trail
Welcome to the "Caves and Springs" eco-trail – a tranquil corner of wilderness where clear water, green forests, and impressive rock formations await you.
The eco-trail is located near the village of Mladezhko, in Strandzha – between the towns of Burgas and Malko Tarnovo. It can be reached via an asphalt road leading to the village; then, there is a parking lot on site next to a bridge over the Mladezhka River, from which the marked route begins.

Along the trail, you will pass by small springs and waterfalls, and see rock formations and natural caves – don't miss descending to the river and listening to the sound of the water, especially after rain. The route is suitable for families and beginner hikers, thanks to its clearly marked path, railings, and small bridges.

There is also an extended circular route in the area – about 15 km – for more prepared nature lovers, which covers a wider range of surrounding forests and springs.
If you are ready to continue – nearby you can also explore other natural sights in Strandzha, as well as traditional village houses that offer homemade food and relaxation. It's a good idea to stop in Mladezhko village or nearby villages for lunch – often offering traditional local dishes, fresh fish, or charcoal-grilled meals.
Bring comfortable shoes, a camera, and a good mood – "Caves and Springs" will offer you peace, greenery, and memories that you will cherish for a long time.
