Chernelka Eco-trail is one of the most beautiful karst gorges in Northern Bulgaria. The route follows the Chernelka River, passing through high rocks, bridges, narrow sections, and open meadows. One of the most pleasant places for a long but easy walk in the Pleven region.

Where is it located?

The Chernelka Eco-trail is located in Pleven Province and connects the villages of Gortalovo and Kŭrtozhabene. The trail is part of the "Chernelka" protected area and follows the picturesque gorge of the river along its entire length.

The walk most often starts from Gortalovo village, where there are convenient parking spaces and an information board for the start of the route.
