πΏ Skoka Waterfall β The Wild Pearl of Veselinovo
Hidden in the heart of the Eastern Balkan Mountains, Skoka Waterfall near the village of Veselinovo is one of the most impressive natural wonders in the region. The waterfall is located in Shumen Province, in the lands of Veselinovo village, along the road through the Rishki Pass (Shumen β Karnobat).
π By car
This is the easiest and fastest way:
- Drive along the Shumen β Karnobat road.
- Shortly before the sign for the end of Veselinovo village (if coming from Shumen), there is a left turn onto a gravel road.
- If coming from Karnobat β the turn-off is to the right, just before the village entrance.
- This is followed by about 4 km of dirt road, which is passable all year round.
- The road leads directly to the start of the eco-trail and a parking area.
π On foot from Veselinovo
- The distance is about 1 hour and 40 minutes walk one way.
- The trail is easy but longer β suitable for walking enthusiasts.
π How much time to allocate
- By car to the start of the trail: 10β15 minutes from the village
- Walking section: 10β20 minutes
- Exploring and photos: 20β40 minutes
Total: about 1β1.5 hours, but if you love nature, you can easily stay longer.
