Fun fact

According to a local legend, Mitrovo and Argirovo lakes are named after two brothers – Mitar and Argir, who fell in love with the same girl from Breznitsa. Instead of quarreling, they decided to prove their love by letting her choose whom she loved. She… chose a shepherd from the neighboring village. The brothers' hearts were broken, and from their tears, the two lakes were formed.

Today, the lakes remind us that love doesn't always have a happy ending, but nature can create something beautiful from any sorrow.
