The Bench of Love
Welcome to one of the most romantic places in Bulgaria – the Bench of Love! Imagine a small, cozy bench, hidden among the greenery of the Balkan Mountains, overlooking the ancient Dryanovo Monastery. This is no ordinary bench – here, nature and history intertwine, creating an atmosphere of peace and seclusion. The Bench of Love is a place where dreams are shared, promises are whispered, and memories are made.
Where is it?
The Bench of Love is located in close proximity to Dryanovo Monastery, just a few minutes' walk away. To get there, it's best to start from the monastery itself, which is about 4 km from the town of Dryanovo. There is convenient parking for cars near the monastery. After you park, follow a small path that will lead you through the forest. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes – the walk is not difficult, but it's slightly hilly and quite short!
What not to miss
On your way to the bench, you can't miss Dryanovo Monastery itself - a treasure of Bulgarian spirituality with over 800 years of history. Admire its beautiful architecture and enjoy the tranquility of its courtyard. Not far from the monastery is Bacho Kiro Cave - a true natural wonder worth seeing. The cave is about 3 km long and is among the first accessible to tourists in Bulgaria. Its galleries and interesting rock formations ignite the imagination and offer an unforgettable experience.
The path to the Love Bench also passes by a small river, whose gentle murmur adds to the tranquility of the place. When you reach the bench, enjoy the view and don't miss taking a photo – this view of the monastery, the Balkan Mountains, and the greenery around Bacho Kiro Cave will leave you breathless!
How long does it take
The walk to the bench takes about 10-15 minutes, and you'll need about half an hour to explore the monastery, take photos, and enjoy nature. If you like to relax in peace and enjoy the silence, set aside at least an hour or two for this wonderful place.

According to a local legend, if a couple in love sits on the Love Bench and holds hands, their love will be eternal. Many people come here to share special moments – marriage proposals, anniversaries, or simply quiet moments of affection.
