Fotinski Waterfalls – the Hidden Paradise of the Rhodopes

If you are looking for a place that combines majestic nature, refreshing coolness, and a sense of true mystery, the Fotinski Waterfalls are just for you. These beautiful waterfalls are located in the heart of the Rhodopes, near the village of Fotinovo, and offer impressive views that will remain in your memory for a long time. The waterfalls are surrounded by dense forests and rock formations that add extra magic to the place.

How to get to the Fotinski Waterfalls

The village of Fotinovo is reached by an asphalt road, which is in good condition, with the nearest larger town being Velingrad – about 25 km away. From Fotinovo, the marked trail to the waterfalls begins. The trail is relatively easy to navigate, suitable for families and nature lovers, with the last few hundred meters involving a slight ascent.

The parking at the beginning of the trail is small, so it's a good idea to start early, especially on weekends and during the summer months.

What not to miss

The Fotinski Waterfalls are actually a series of several waterfalls, descending one after another, with the highest reaching about 12 meters. The water here is crystal clear, and in spring and early summer, the flow is strongest.

Don't miss:
