The Haidushki waterfalls are one of the emblems of the Berkovitsa Balkan Mountains – a series of small but very picturesque waterfalls in a narrow and green valley. The place is quiet, fresh, and gives a sense of a wild mountain nook, without requiring a strenuous hike.

Where are they located?

The Haidushki waterfalls are located in the Western Stara Planina mountains, in the beautiful valley of the Golyama River, about 8–9 km west of the town of Berkovitsa. The starting point of the eco-trail can be reached by car from Berkovitsa in the direction of the mountains, with the area near an old factory / quarry often used as a starting point. From there, the route continues on foot along forest and dirt roads by the river.

What not to miss?

1. The waterfalls themselves – a series of several cascades (2–3 m each) that form small pools and cascades.
