Where it is located

Heraclea Sintica is located near the village of Rupite, not far from Petrich, in Southwestern Bulgaria. The site is easily accessible by car – first, follow the signs for Rupite, and then there are clearly marked directional signs for the archaeological site. At the end of the road, there is a parking lot, from which it is only a few minutes' walk to the ruins themselves.

The area is ideal for a full-day trip – you can combine your visit to Heraclea Sintica with a walk to Rupite and the surrounding hills.
