🌿 Sini Vir Waterfall – a small aquatic gem hidden in the heart of the Balkan Mountains

Sini Vir Waterfall is one of Bulgaria's most charming and easily accessible natural spots. Located near the village of Medven, at the foot of the Kotel-Balkan, it impresses not with its height, but with its atmosphere – clear water, a blue-green pool, rock formations, and a silence that disconnects you from the world. 🚗 How to get there

The waterfall is located at the end of Medven village, about 15 km from Kotel and 110 km from Burgas. 

The easiest route is:

  • Enter the village and follow the signs to Ecosettlement "Sini Vir" 
  • The road passes through cobblestone streets and becomes narrower, but it is entirely passable.
  • There is parking available near the ecosettlement.
  • From there, a path descends towards the river.

The walk from the ecosettlement to the waterfall takes 15–20 minutes on foot along a pleasant forest path.

  • The path: 15–20 minutes one way
  • Exploring and photos: 20–30 minutes

Total: about 1 hour, but if you love nature, you can easily stay longer.

Sini Vir is a small waterfall – about 3–5 meters high.
