Çüyüdürmek Waterfall

🚶 How to get there

Chudyurmek, also known as Dyusheme Kaya, is located near the Batkovtsi hamlet, part of Karamfil village in Momchilgrad Municipality. The waterfall can be reached by two main routes:

  • From Batkovtsi hamlet – about 500 meters down the riverbed, where a rock amphitheater is formed.

  • From Sulitsa hamlet, towards Pazarci village – an alternative route, suitable for variety.

The trails are not difficult but require good footwear and attention, especially after rain. The walking time from the hamlet is about 20–30 minutes.

  • The waterfall itself – over 20 meters high, it falls as a thin stream over the rocks. It is most impressive in spring, when the snow melts, or after heavy rains.

  • The rock amphitheater – a natural formation that gives the place a sense of an ancient stage, as if created for legends and traditions.

  • Dyusheme Dere – the small stream that shapes the landscape around the waterfall, great for photos and a short break.
