How do we get there?

1.You leave your car at Vihren Hut (there's a restriction for cars between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM during summer – check before you go!).

2.Follow the blue-yellow marking that starts right from the hut.

3.Follow a well-defined trail that gradually ascends – you'll pass through dwarf pines and rocks, but the views will distract you from any effort.

4.A small bridge appears – don't cross it! Instead, turn right and continue along the rocky slope.

5.After a bit more climbing... BOOM – Muratovo Lake will appear before you like a gemstone, carefully guarded by the surrounding peaks.

🌟 Fun Fact or Legend

Legend has it that Muratovo Lake was formed from the tears of a young shepherd named Murat, who lost his flock right here during a storm. Weeping and desperate, he prayed to the mountain to forgive him. Pirin took pity and gathered his tears into a lake so beautiful that today, everyone who visits it feels a slight pinch in their throat... from ecstasy, of course!
