Bachо Kiro Cave

Bachо Kiro Cave is one of Bulgaria's most interesting and accessible underground wonders. Located at the foot of the Dryanovo Monastery, it impresses with mystical galleries, whimsical formations, underground halls, and a rich history. This is the first developed cave in Bulgaria, and today it is among the most visited natural attractions in the region.

How to get there:
The cave is located about 5 km from the town of Dryanovo and literally a few minutes' walk from the Dryanovo Monastery. The monastery is easily accessible by car via a well-maintained road, and the parking is convenient and spacious. From there, a short, pleasant forest path leads to the cave entrance. There is also a train station "Dryanovo Monastery", which makes the place accessible for travelers without a car.

How much time to allocate:
Exploring the cave takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the route and pace. If you combine the visit with a walk around the monastery, the eco-trails, and nearby attractions, you can easily spend half a day in the area.

The lighting is well-done and emphasizes the mystical atmosphere. The temperature is around 12 degrees Celsius year-round, so it's a good idea to bring an outer garment.
