Samodivsko Praskalo

Where is it located

Samodivskoto Praskalo is located in the heart of the Rhodopes, about 7 km from the town of Devin. To reach it, you will need to take the "Struilitsa-Kaleto-Lakаta" eco-trail, which is well-marked and offers numerous panoramic views of the pristine forests and rocks of the area.

How to get there:

  • By car: First you need to reach Devin, and from there follow the signs to the "Struilitsa" area.
  • Walking route: From "Struilitsa" begins a pleasant hike along the eco-trail, where after about an hour of walking you will find yourself in front of the magnificent waterfall.

The route is easily accessible and suitable for beginner hikers, combining a leisurely walk with incredible nature.

While enjoying Samodivskoto Praskalo, don't forget to pay attention to:

Fun fact

Locals believe that Samodivskoto Praskalo is not named by chance. Legend has it that on clear moonlit nights, samodivi – mystical forest spirits – come to the waterfall to bathe and sing. Some of the older residents of Devin say that if you are quiet and attentive, you can hear their ringing laughter and the whispers of their songs, blending with the sound of the water.
