The village of Dolene is located in the Ograzhden mountain range, in the municipality of Petrich, Blagoevgrad region. It is situated at about 710 meters above sea level, amidst picturesque hills and green meadows. The nearest town is Petrich, and from Sandanski to the village the distance is about 44 kilometers, which takes approximately one hour by car. The road passes through the village of Parvomay and shortly before Strumeshnitsa there is a turn-off with a sign for Dolene – from there, it is about 10 kilometers to the final destination.
